Arrested Cocaine Dealer Wanted Money For Father’s Burial
Agu Ifeanyi Kingsley said he had travelled to Brazil in search of a better life but was instead forced to sell cocaine in order to raise money
A Nigerian man who was formerly resident in Brazil has been arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport(MMIA) in Lagos after he was found in possession of cocaine.
Agu Ifeanyi Kingsley said he had travelled to Brazil in search of a better life but was instead forced to do drugs in order to raise money, Vanguard reports.
Agu also added that his father’s death compounded his situation as he was put under pressure to raise money for the burial.
He said:
“I travelled to Brazil in April this year when my clothes business was almost down. But the few months I spent in Brazil were even worse than it was in Nigeria.”
“As if that was not enough, I received news of my father’s death and I had no money for my flight ticket. Bringing cocaine to Nigeria was my last hope of making some money because I was promised N800,000.”
Agu was arrested with 1.650kg of cocaine after coming into the country on an Emirates flight from Dubai.
Two other suspects who had the illicit drug in their possession were also arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Nigerian Woman Dies Trying To Get Bigger Butt In Thailand
24-year-old Joy Williams, who was resident in the UK, died in Thailand after complications arising from infected butt implants.
A young Nigerian woman has lost her life during a cheap plastic surgery procedure to get a bigger butt.
24-year-old Joy Williams, who was resident in the UK, died inThailand after complications arising from infected butt implants.
The surgery was performed on her at night by Dr. Sompob Sansir who has now been arrested for causing her death by negligence after he operated on her without a license, The UK Telegraph reports.
The deceased had travelled to Bangkok, the Thai capital for the £2,000 buttock augmentation operation which involves inserting silicone implants into a patient's buttocks.
After the October 14 operation, her wounds became infected and she had surgery to remove them but she died shortly after.
One of Joy’s friends said:
“She was a really, really nice girl. She was very friendly and caring. She was always helping her mum with her brothers.”
“At school she had been bullied over her appearance and she went for surgery on her nose and face. Last time I saw her it was obvious she had had cosmetic surgery.
“She was fine before, she didn’t need to. She was fine the way she was but she just wasn’t happy. She had no self esteem and I guess she felt she needed to do it. She was just never happy with herself.”
A former schoolmate said:
“I’m in total shock,” she said. “I just can’t believe it. Not Joy. Not her. She was lovely, she was my friend.”
The clinic where she had the surgery has been shut down and Dr Sompob could face ten years in jail if convicted.

Yaya Toure: Di Maria & Falcao were two of the signings of the summer
The Ivorian included two Red Devils players in his top-five buys of the transfer window, along with James Rodriguez, Alvaro Negredo and Mario Balotelli
Manchester City star Yaya Toure admits that rivals Manchester United pulled off two of the transfer window’s best signings by landing Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao.
The Argentine star arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a £59.7 million (€76m) move this summer, while the Colombia striker has arrived on loan from Monaco in a deal that is set to become permanent.
Ahead of this weekend’s Manchester derby, Toure concedes Louis van Gaal’s side have made impressive additions that rank on a par with Real Madrid’s deal to buy James Rodriguez from Monaco for €80m.
When asked who his best five transfers of the summer were, he said: “I think definitely Di Maria, and also James Rodriguez was a fantastic one.
“Man United also made the move for Falcao and he is a great striker, unbelievable.”
Toure wrapped up his top five picks by praising his former team-mate Alvaro Negredo and tipping under-fire Mario Balotelli to have an impressive stint at Liverpool.
He continued: “One of my team-mates Alvaro Negredo went to Valencia. He has had injuries but was brilliant for us over the last year and I think he will make a great move.
“We are all sad and disappointed to see him go because he was one of the top strikers in the last year. He had a couple of events and needed to go back to his country but we are going to miss him a lot.
“The fifth one would be one of my great friends Mario Balotelli. He is like my brother.
"I hope he is going to do well with Liverpool because he has been involved with a few problems in the past and I think this year he is becoming more mature and can control all of that.”
Touré was speaking to Nissan, the official automotive sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, as part of his role as the car manufacturer’s global ambassador.
falcao out rooney in for manchester derby
The Colombia striker has failed to recover from the knock that ruled him out against Chelsea but the England captain will return to skipper the side at the Etihad Stadium
Louis van Gaal has revealed that Radamel Falcao will miss Sunday's Manchester derby through injury, though Wayne Rooney returns to the fold.
Rooney has sat out the Red Devils' last three matches after being sent-off against West Ham in September, and though he suffered a foot injury earlier in the week, will be fit to make his return to the starting XI.
But Falcao, who Goal revealed is set to join the Old Trafford outfit permanently for £44 million in the summer following his current one-year loan deal from Monaco, remains on the sidelines after picking up a knock in training.
Van Gaal told reporters: "Falcao is still injured. Rooney was never injured. He shall play, he is my captain. I think [Antonio] Valencia is fit again to play.
"He [Rooney] has scored a lot of goals against City, the most of any player. I am very happy that he can play, and he shall.
Along with Rooney, midfielder Marouane Fellaini is set to remain in the United team at the Etihad Stadium following some recent good performances.
The former Everton man scored after coming off the bench against West Brom before putting in another impressive showing against Chelsea as Van Gaal's side came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw.
And the ex-Bayern Munich boss revealed he has been pleased with the Belgium international's showings and is hopeful of him maintaining his current form.
"He has made a great contribution and also the assist for the [Chelsea] goal.
"He has had a lot of time out injured but when he is fit I have played him. He has to continue with that because then I am very pleased."
manchester united in ac milan friendly talk
Neither team has qualified for European competition this season, and with Louis van Gaal backing the idea, the two sides could well meet at some point before the campaign is out
Manchester United are in talks with AC Milan regarding the possibility of a mid-season friendly match.
Louis van Gaal has previously given his backing to the idea of playing high-profile midweek matches due to his sides lack of European football this season, saying: " I fully agree. I like to play midweek games against high-level opponents."
And Milan, who like the Red Devils failed to qualify for either the Champions League or Europa League this term, have been revealed as a possible opponent for the Red Devils.
Speaking to the Press Association, Milan director Umberto Gandini said: "This is something we have been talking about for a few weeks and we have a committed interest to do something together."
"It's just a question to find the right date and then to find the right place."

money is good and it pays to work hard
According to a breaking news report on AFP, around 30 adolescents -- some of them girls aged as young as 11 -- have been abducted in northeast Nigeria by suspected Boko Haram rebels.
"The insurgents... grabbed young people, boys and girls, from our region," said Alhaji Shettima Maina, who is in charge of the Mafa village around 50 kilometres (30 miles) east of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
"They took all boys aged 13 and over... and all girls aged 11 and more. According to our information, 30 young people were abducted in the last two days."

Another village elder, Mallam Ashiekh Mustapha, confirmed the account. Both men said 17 people were also killed in recent days in a Boko Haram attack on the nearby village of Ndongo. Boko Haram, which has been waging a bloody insurgency since 2009, has been responsible for waves of attacks and abductions.
In April, the Islamist rebel group snatched more than 200 schoolgirls from Chibok in northeast Nigeria, triggering an international outcry. Kidnapping young women and girls -- as well as forcibly conscripting young men and boys to fight for Boko Haram -- is a well-established tactic by the militants. Some estimates put the number of women held by the group in the high hundreds. Most are believed to be forced into marriages with rebels.
The latest kidnapping comes despite the Nigerian government declaring a truce with the insurgents and the army retaking control of Abadam in the north-east on Saturday, according to a senior security official in the region. But local chief Maina said his village and areas around it were targeted in nearly daily raids by Boko Haram, and many residents have fled to Maiduguri "for fear of being killed or losing their children". He said he had pleaded for help from the Nigerian government but that so far none had been forthcoming

- How the ‘win’ was celebrated:
Yes and that’s because I am presently studying business information system in Malaysia. I left Nigeria in May, 2013.
- Why Malaysia?
- But you were already studying at the Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology
- After paying your tithe offering, what was the first thing you bought from the money?
- And your parents?
- You didn’t go shopping at all…get new stuffs, change your wardrobe?
- What has changed about you since the win?
- You once said you will buy machines, work for yourself and be an employer of labour, have you fulfilled this yet?
- Let’s talk about your love life. After you won the money, you said you had lots of toasters
- Would you return to Nigeria after your studies or settle fully in Malaysia?
- So have you exhausted all the N64 million?
- Any advise to the Nigerian youth
- Youths should be patient and wait for their time, God’s time is the best, thank you
diego costa and falcao to miss out of the clash
Chelsea's Diego Costa and Manchester United's Radamel Falcao will sit out Sunday's clash between the two sides at Old Trafford.
Didier Drogba leads the line for the Blues in the absence of Costa, while United defender Phil Jones, who returned to the starting line-up against West Brom on Monday night after missing nearly six weeks, is also missing.
Costa has been battling a groin problem and a virus which saw him hospitalised all week, while Falcao picked up a knock in training on Friday and has failed to recover in time.
The Brazilian full-back wants to discuss new terms with under two years remaining on his current deal
Rafael is keen to sit down with Manchester United officials to discuss the renewal of his contract, The Insider understands.
The Brazilian, who has emerged as the Red Devils' first-choice right-back with his performances over the last couple of years, is looking to open talks over a new deal with less than two years remaining on his current contract.
United and manager Louis van Gaal are in no rush to thrash out a new and improved set of terms for the 24-year-old although they will not allow the full-back to run down his contract.
Despite having made over 100 appearances since joining the club back in 2008, Van Gaal remains unconvinced by the former Fluminense star and is not sure he is the long-term solution at right-back.
And with rumours surfacing linking Barcelona defender Dani Alves with a summer move, it remains a crucial 2014-15 campaign for the Brazilian to prove his worth at Old Trafford and earn a new deal in the process.
