Burial Of The 4-Year-Old Girl Raped And Murdered In South Africa

"The smallest coffins are the heaviest": Tears roll as 4-year-old girl brutally raped and murdered in South Africa, is laid to rest

The Talla family mourned the passing of four-year-old Shaynice as they laid her to rest Wednesday, at the Klipspuit Cemetery after a funeral service at 3106 6 Belaleberg St Extension 2‚ Eldorado Park.
Little Shanice was found brutally raped and murdered hours after she went missing on Wednesday afternoon, September 28.
The tragic death had family members and mourners filled with tears and sorrow.
"God picked a beautiful rose from His garden, but she will always remain with us. It’s so sad but we know that you’re safe in God’s hands,” said a grieving family friend.

The Eldorado Park community wore green ribbons and scarves in support of the bereaved family and as a sign of remembrance for baby Talla.
“We’re so broken, it hurts knowing that someone can hurt such an innocent young girl,” said family friend, Sonja Bosch.
"When an innocent life of a little girl is taken in this manner we need to ask ourselves what is wrong with our community. There is a sickness in our community and we have accommodated it for far too long‚" said Johannesburg MMC for Health and Social Development Dr Mpho Phalatse.
"Its time for all of us to regroup and take a stand against social ills. It can't be business as usual. Things need to change in Eldorado Park‚" she added.
Phalatse added that the city will soon introduce programs meant to improve conditions in Eldorado Park. Some of the challenges faced by this community include substance abuse‚ crime and unemployment.

EFCC BOSS WANTED

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions on Wednesday has issued an arrest warrant against the EFCC acting chairman for refusing to show up at a hearing involving the commission and former First Lady Patience Jonathan.

Ibrahim Magu is expected to be bundled in to the hearing on  November 7.

The commission has frozen accounts linked to Patience and her associates. The matter is in appeal court following a judgement Patience secured to unfreeze her accounts.

But Patience petitioned the House of Reps claiming that the EFCC and other agencies like the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency have been harassing her and her family.

According to the committee chair, Abia PDP Hon. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta, Magu has not honoured all the invitations to testify at the hearing.

The NDLEA and FIRS had been appearing before the panel to respond to the petition.

The motion on arrest was moved by the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Hon. Kingsley Chinda.

“The absence of the EFCC is making our work difficult. We are not against the EFCC doing its work but they have to comply with the law. With no counter motion, the motion on arrest warrant is hereby sustained,” said Nkem-Abonta.

The committee also ordered all the companies involved to submit their statements of audited accounts to the FIRSwithin two weeks—for assessment of compliance level.

BARCELONA STAR DEMBELE RULED OUT FOR UP TO FOUR MONTHS

The France international will have to watch on from the sidelines for a lengthy period after suffering a hamstring injury against Getafe

Ousmane Demeble has been ruled out for up to four months in an injury blow that has rocked Barcelona.
Barca have confirmed that the 20-year-old did, as feared by head coach Ernesto Valverde, suffered a torn hamstring in Saturday's 2-1 victory away against Getafe, which was his full La Liga debut.
Dembele had to be withdrawn in the first half of his side's dramatic win, leaving the field after sustaining the problem while attempting a back-heel near the corner flag when the match was still goalless.

After conducting tests on Sunday, Barca released a statement which read: "The tests have come back following first team player Ousmane Dembele has ruptured the tendon in his femoral bicep in his left thigh.
"The player will be operated on by Dr. Sakari Orava in Finland this week. He is expected to be out for between three and a half months and four months."

The problem, which is in Dembele's left leg, will see him miss the first half of the season in a huge blow to the Catalans after his initial €105million move from Borussia Dortmund.
Barca, who have won all four of their La Liga matches to start the new season, have clashes against Eibar, Girona, Sporting CP and Las Palmas before the next international break.
Dembele is also set to miss huge league fixtures against Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and the rest of the Champions League group stages.
The France international is also in line to miss the first league Clasico of the season against Real Madrid in December, with his return coming after the mid-season break.
Dembele had made his first Barca start against Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday, having come on as a substitute at home to Espanyol last week, his first game in the club's colours.

Dembele's injury means that he will miss much of Barca's season, including a host of crucial matches in the league and Champions League, as well as domestic cup competitions such as the Copa del Rey.

Terrorism charge: Nnamdi Kanu flees, goes into hiding

Our Correspondents

The founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and top leaders of his group have gone into hiding following Friday’s declaration by the Nigerian Army that IPOB and other Pro-Biafran groups were terrorists organisations.

Investigations by SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday revealed that Kanu and his top lieutenants had ‘disappeared’ from his country home in Afaraukwu near Umuahia and other places he frequently visited.

His father, Eze Israel Kanu, is the traditional ruler of the town.

Some IPOB members, who spoke on conditions of anonymity explained that Kanu and others were advised to go underground following the declaration by the Army and the decision of the South-East governors to proscribe activities of pro-Biafra agitators in the region.

An IPOB member said, “We have to apply wisdom to whatever we are doing. We have realised that there is a grand conspiracy against Kanu and other top leaders of our group.

“Just imagine barely few hours after the Nigerian military declared members of IPOB and other pro-Biafran groups as terrorists, our own governors came up with their own outright ban of our activities.

“This definitely will give the soldiers and other security agencies the opportunity to arrest our leader and mount a deadly clampdown on all IPOB members. So, it is better to operate from a hideout for now.”

I can’t disclose my brother’s location — Kanu’s brother

When contacted on phone on Saturday, Kanu’s younger brother simply identified as Fine Boy, refused to tell SUNDAY PUNCHwhere his brother was, adding that only the IPOB leader could disclose his hiding place.

He said, “Only my brother can tell Nigerians where he is, I can’t. I don’t know why the Army should call IPOB a terrorist organisation, it is out of their desperation to arrest Nnamdi and frustrate the Biafran struggle.  We have petitioned the United Nations and the European Union.

“The world knows that IPOB is a non-violent organisation, we don’t carry arms, we don’t kill, and we believe violence can never solve any problem.

“Nnamdi will soon disclose his current location and IPOB will also react to the proscription of the group by the South-East governors’ forum.”

Security agencies comb South-East for Kanu, others

SUNDAY PUNCH investigations on Saturday also showed that security agencies were combing the South-East region in search of Kanu.

Findings by one of our correspondents in Abuja showed that the security agencies had been directed to arrest Kanu and other leaders of his group.

The directive to arrest the IPOB leaders was said to have been communicated to the leaders of the security agencies deployed in the region.

The security agencies that were given the directive, according to investigations, include the military, the police and the Department of State Services.

It was gathered that the government felt that it could be dangerous to leave Kanu a free man till the next adjourned date when his case would come up at an Abuja Federal High Court.

His case is said to be coming up later in October.

A top security sources said, “We are seriously looking for him. He has a lot of things to explain to the government concerning his statements, actions and activities.

“We can’t sit by and allow the security situation in the country to be compromised to the extent that an individual will be challenging the Federal Government.

“Government has to do something about an individual that is recruiting young people, giving them uniforms, arming them and referring to them as a secret service.

“We have been seizing arms and ammunitions at the ports; we also need to know what they were meant for.

“This is someone who unilaterally said there would be no election in Anambra State and some people want us to allow him continue with his activities?  No, we need to grow above our ethnic and tribal sentiments.”

South-East govs disloyal — IPOB

IPOB  on Saturday night condemned the South East Governor’s Forum over its proscription of IPOB’s activities. Its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, said the speed with which the governors announced the proscription of IPOB activities showed that the governors were disloyal.

IPOB said, “We want to find out how the governors who do not know the foundations of IPOB, would make such a statement when they know that IPOB had staged 297 peaceful protests and rallies both at home and in Diaspora without a single record of violence or crime.

“With the record on ground, IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is one of the most peaceful organised freedom fighting group in the world today.  It is dangerous that the governors who are the chief security officers of their respective states in the zone would decide to hand over their people to the enemies who were out to kill, maim and destroy because of their selfish reasons.  We are also aware that late Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and General Philip Effiong protected their people during the first pogrom and ethnic cleansing from 1966’to 1970.

“These governors and their collaborators are in the forefront to eliminate our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other peaceful members of IPOB. It is on record that IPOB activities are peaceful since the inception and nobody can prove where and how IPOB activities became violent over night.

“The solders brought in to eliminate or murder our leader and IPOB members, including the innocent civilians across Biafra land, are still going from house to house picking anyone suspected to be IPOB or seen with any Biafra insignia. IPOB under Kanu must remain a nonviolent group in the pursuit for Biafra freedom, despite the high handedness meted against IPOB members and our leader.”

Enforcement of ban will cause bloodshed, says MASSOB

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, on Saturday said the South-East Governors Forum has no powers to proscribe the activities of pro-Biafra groups in the zone.

It warned that any attempt by the governors to enforce the proscription will lead to loss of lives.

MASSOB said the decision taken by the governors cannot stand.

National Director of Information, MASSOB, Samuel Edeson, in an interview withSUNDAY PUNCH in Enugu, described the pro-Biafra groups as independent associations of people whose rights to self determination are backed by the United Nation’s Charter.

Edeson argued that the governors can only enforce the proscription after amending the laws of South-East states to criminalise self determination.

According to him, “The governors said they will enforce the proscription, the only way they can do that is by using the shoot-on-sight approach which was started by the Buhari administration. In that case people will die.

“The fact is that MASSOB was never registered under the Nigerian government; neither did we register under the Corporate Affairs Commission.

“We are an independent organisation, we are freedom fighters — there is nowhere in the world where a self determination group is proscribed.

“It (proscription) cannot stand; nobody can drive us away from our father’s land.”

Ohanaeze Ndigbo also faulted Nigeria army’s declaration of IPOB as a terrorist organisation. Ohanaeze said, “IPOB is not a terrorist organization going by extant national and international laws, especially the terrorist prevention Act 2011, as amended in 2015.”

It however praised the South-East Governors for stopping conflict in the region.  In a communique read by the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, the group condemned the military operation in the zone and urged the army to terminate the exercise henceforth.

No going back on IPOB, others’ proscription – Govs

The Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum who is also the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, has attributed the proscription of the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra to the agitation for secession by the group.

Umahi spoke in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, on Saturday while briefing journalists on the resolution of his colleagues on the activities of IPOB and the “Operation Python Dance” launched by the military in the South –East.

The governor insisted that the decision would be enforced in the five states.

He said, “The Igbo are not looking for secession at this time, it is not the solution to our problem. If we want Biafra, it is the leaders of the South-East that would be in the fore-front of it, not any other person.

“The ideals and beliefs of IPOB have gone beyond the initial thought of IPOB leaders. Anybody can agitate but it must be devoid of insults from any sources.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has shown maturity in the handling of insults, there must be disagreement, but such disagreement must not degenerate to insulting the President of the country.”

Umahi said there was no way the South-East governors would have supported the activities of IPOB.

He said, “We have the people’s mandate, our task is to avoid shedding of blood and ensure a peaceful existence of our people.

“We had invited Nnamdi Kanu on two occasions, and he honoured our invitation. We told him that he cannot be insulting President Buhari, it is not the solution to the problem of the South-East geo-political zone of the country.”

On the allegations of torture allegedly committed by soldiers involved in the “Operation Python Dance” in Umuahia  and  Aba, Umahi said the South-East Governors have set up a committee to investigate all the allegations.

He said, “We must reiterate that any body found culpable will face the full wrath of the law and be prosecuted.”

Obasanjo’s advice on Kanu, personal opinion — Presidency

The Presidency has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent comment on the Biafran agitation is his opinion.

Obasanjo was reported on Friday to have advised Buhari to invite  IPOB leaders for negotiations.

When asked on Saturday if Buhari would heed Obasanjo’s advice, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said Obasanjo’s comment was not a law or a rule.

He said, “It is an opinion that he has proffered and when you proffer an opinion, it is not a law or a rule. It is now left for the person who was given the advice to consider it.”

Junaid, Balarabe berate Obasanjo

Meanwhile, two northern elder statesmen, Dr Junaid Muhammed and Alhaji Balarabe Musa, have disagreed with Obasanjo over his comments on IPOB agitations, saying that the retired general lacked credibility.

The former president was quoted to have said the deployment of troops in the South- East was not the solution to the Biafran agitation. He also said Buhari should invite  IPOB leaders for negotiations.

Muhammed, a Second Republic lawmaker, said, “The statement credited to Obasanjo, if he, indeed, said so, must be condemned by all right-thinking Nigerians. It is irresponsible and demoralising to the army and the police who are confronting terrorists wherever they are.

“It confirms that the ex-president is a hypocrite who is playing games with even the sacred ideals of our national existence.

“Obasanjo without recourse to parliament deployed Nigerian armed forces to Zaki Biam in Benue State and Odi in Bayelsa State.

“He did not seek any audience with those victims, and it is mischievous that the former president has now come up with some advice.”

Also, Balarabe Musa, former governor of old Kaduna State, said, “Obasanjo is not credible enough to give such advice. We are talking about a problem, but what did Obasanjo do when he was there?”

Similarly, the Arewa Consultative Forum on Saturday applauded northerners for maintaining peace and understanding in the face of provocation in the aftermath of the clash between the Nigerian Army and IPOB

The northern body through its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim Biu in a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna, also condemned the clash which led to the killing of some northerners in Rivers State.

The group commended the South-East governors on the ban placed on IPOB.

Afenifere seeks dialogue

On its part, the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, endorsed the call by Obasanjo that Buhari should negotiate with IPOB.

Afenifere said the Biafran agitations could only be resolved through dialogue, noting that after the civil war, the country still engaged in dialogue for national integration.

The Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, said no step or effort that could douse the tension across the country and bring peace to the polity was too much to take.

Military-IPOB Faceoff: Governor Fayose Calls For Dialogue

Ayodele Fayose, the governor of Ekiti State, has once again called on the federal government to handle the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, with caution and allow leaders of the Southeast region to apply political solutions as against the use of force, which has created tension in Abia State and the entire Southeast since the military embarked on its Operation Python Dance II.

In a statement e-mailed to The Trent on Saturday, September 16, 2017, by Lere Olayinka, a spokesperson for the governor, Fayose also called the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and his followers to desist from any act capable of threatening the peaceful co-existence of Nigerians and allow dialogue to resolve their agitations.

The governor said the federal government should be reminded of how late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua handled the Niger Delta militancy with dialogue and consultations, adding that the same approach should be used to address IPOB agitations and those of others rather than military option.

The governor said; “For whatever reasons, the federal government should avoid being seen as becoming trigger happy because in every union, there will always be agitations and leaders must listen to such agitations and address them.

“I was particularly happy when Governors of the South-East states met with Nnamdi Kanu, 16 days ago and I commended the governors then and said that the federal government should allow the governors and other leaders of the region to intervene just as governors from the Northern States were allowed to peacefully address the Arewa Youths threat against Igbos living in the north.

“The federal government should therefore withdraw the military from the Southeast and encourage the peace effort of the Southeast governors so as to prevent further bloodshed and tension as being witnessed in Abia State now.”

Maintaining that Nigerians will always agitate for the restructuring of the country, Governor Fayose said; “The moment it becomes necessary for Nigerians living outside their states of origin to be assured of their safety where they reside, it should be obvious to all discerning minds that all is not well.

“For instance, here in Ekiti, we do not need to begin to assure other tribes living in the State of their safety because as a government, our actions never threatened the peaceful co-existence of Nigerians living in Ekiti State.

“Therefore, instead of trying to suppress agitations, the federal government should accede to calls for the restructuring of the country so that we can have a country that we can all call our own.”

Nigerian Military Declares IPOB Terrorist Organisation

The Defence Headquarters has declared the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a militant terrorist organisation.

Director, Defence Information, Major-General John Enenche, in a statement on Friday, said parents should dissuade their wards from joining the group and that the Armed Forces will confront “all security challenges facing the country.’’

Enenche listed reasons for the declaration to include, the formation of a Biafra Secret Service, claimed formation of Biafra National Guard, unauthorised blocking of public access roads; extortion of money from innocent civilians at illegal roadblocks, and militant possession and use of weapons (stones, molotov cocktails, machetes and broken bottles among others) on a military patrol on September 10, 2017.

“From the foregoing, the Armed Forces of Nigeria wishes to confirm to the general public that IPOB from all intent, plan and purpose as analysed, is a militant terrorist organisation,” it said.

Based on the declaration, the army warned Nigerians against joining the group.

“Therefore, parents and particularly unsuspecting residents of the South East and other Nigerians should advise their wards to desist from joining the group,” it said.

“The Defence Headquarters restates its commitment to handling all the security challenges in the Country and further assures all Nigerians of the protection of lives and property.”

See full reasons for the declaration below:

The Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) group which has posed to be a security challenge in the Country, has been metamorphosing from one stage to the other. After due professional analysis and recent developments, it has become expedient, to notify the general public that; the claim by IPOB actors that the organization is non-violent is not true. Hence, the need to bring to public awareness the true and current state of IPOB. In this regard, some of their actions, clandestinely and actively, that has been terrorising the general public among others include; The formation of a Biafra Secret Service.Claimed formation of Biafra National Guard.Unauthorised blocking of public access roads.Extortion of money from innocent civilians at illegal roadblocks.Militant possession and use of weapons (stones, Molotov cocktails, machetes and broken bottles among others) on a military patrol on 10 September 2017.Physical confrontation of troops by Nnamdi Kanu and other IPOB actors at a checkpoint on 11 September 2017 and also attempts to snatch their rifles.Attack by IPOB members, on a military checkpoint on 12 September 2017, at Isialangwa, where one IPOB actor attempted to snatch a female soldier’s rifle.

Court Remands 32 Suspected IPOB Men In Prison Port Harcourt

A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, yesterday remanded 32 suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in prison

The suspects were arrested after they allegedly engaged in a bloody clash with security operatives during which a policeman was killed, his rifle taken away and three others injured.

The Tuesday afternoon attack at a military checkpoint in Obehie, Abia State moved to Oyigbo Junction in Port Harcourt where the policeman was shot dead. Three other policemen were injured and two Police vans burnt. Three police weapons and 68 live ammunition were carted away, among others.

The 32 suspects were arraigned for murder, armed robbery, unlawful assembly and treasonable felony, among others.

The Magistrate declined jurisdiction and ordered that the case files be transmitted to the office of the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
Magistrate Amadi Amadi-Nna adjourned the matter indefinitely.
Efforts by the accused lawyers to make the court turn down the case file for reassignment to a high court failed.

The lawyers said the charge against their clients were trumped up, and urged that they be disregarded and the defendants be discharged.
They lashed the police for charging them before a court that lacks the powers to prosecute.

The prosecution, led by Enoch Gorge, a Superintendent of Police, objected to the submission and urged the court to use its discretion in the charge.
George told reporters later: “We are aware that the court lacks jurisdiction in the matter but we are here on remand proceeding.

“The defence counsel canvassed that the charge be struck out and the suspects discharged just like that but we objected on the grounds that the charges pressed on them are heavy.”
He assured the public that the Police would ensure that the seven-day deadline provided for by section 304 of Administration of Criminal Justice Administration to transmit the case file to the DPP would be kept to ensure that justice was done to both the defendants and the society.
The charge was not read out to the accused persons.
The 23 suspects arrested over the Tuesday afternoon fracas were charged with treasonable Felony. The nine arrested for the murder of the policeman and on the second day were charged with murder, armed robbery, unlawful assembly among others

Tips on how to identify automotive fluid leak

Leaks can be difficult to identify, but there are clues that can help you determine just what is slowly dripping from under your car. There are three things to look for when trying to determine where the leak may be coming from: LOCATION , COLOR and
CONSISTENCY .

1)Engine Oil
Engine oil leaks are the most common type of leak, and are found under the front half of the car, usually directly under the engine.Engine oil is black or very dark brown and will be very slick to the touch.
Used engine oil may have a slightly burnt odor. Engine oil leaks typically come from the oil pan, valve covers, oil filter, real seal, or the oil pan plug.

2)Coolant
Coolant is red or green, and has a slightly thicker consistency than water. The fluid is slippery to the touch and the most distinctive aspect of coolant is its sweet smell.
Coolant leaks typically come from the front-most part of the vehicle, near the radiator or under the engine.
Coolant leaks typically originate from the radiator, radiatorhoses, water pump,or the radiator overflow container.

3)Transmission Fluid
Transmission fluid will be found under the car,in the middle and towards the front. Transmission fluid is typically red and very slick to the touch.
The consistency is similar to that of light engine oil.Transmission fluid also has a distinctive petroleum smell.Transmission fluid that is long overdue for a change may be more brownish in color and smell burnt.
Leaks from the front of the car:

4)Power Steering Fluid or Brake Fluid
Power steering and brake fluid look and feel very similar.Power steering fluid tends to be a shade darker than brake fluid.
Both will be slick to the touch and have the consistency of thin oil.Power steering fluid leaks typically originate with the power steering pump or hoses.Brake fluid leaks can appear anywhere along the brake lines that run the length of the vehicle. When discovered, these leaks should be fixed immediately,as they pose a safety hazard if not corrected.

5)Windshield Washer Fluid
Windshield washer fluid comes in a variety of colors, including pink, blue, orange, purple, and red. This fluid is the consistency of water.
It has very little smell, and leaks will typically come from the windshield washer reservoir or the hoses that lead to the jets that spray the fluid on the windshield.Excessive use of the windshield wiper fluid when the vehicle is not in motion will cause puddles of fluid to develop under the car where the fluid runs down the cowl.

6)Fuel
The easiest way to identify a fuel leak is by smelling the fluid. You can easily tell if the leaking fluid is fuel by the scent.
Fuel leaks are a significant safety hazard and with each drop that hits the ground you are losing money, so they should be fixed immediately. Fuel can also leak from the front of the vehicle if the fuel delivery system, such as the fuel lines or the fuel injectors, have failed or are failing.

7)Rear Differential Oil
On rear-wheel-drive vehicles, the rear differential is located between the two rear tires, and is a large round casing about the size of a soccer ball.If you find thick, black, oil on the pavement under the differential,it may be leaking.
This oil tends to have a higher viscosity than engine oil.
Leaks from other areas of the car:

8 )Coolant(exhaust)
If you routinely fill the radiator or radiator overflow container, but cannot find an obvious leak near the front of the car, check your tail pipe.If you smell a sweet odor emanating from the tailpipe you could have an internal coolant leak which is allowing coolant into the cylinder and out the tailpipe.

This type of leak should be fixed as soon as possible,as it can cause major damage to the internal moving parts of the engine if allowed to worsen.

Lagos Begins Compulsory Computerized Vehicle Inspection

Lagos state government has announced commencement of computerized vehicle inspection service to determine the road-worthiness of vehicles in the state.
The new inspection service enables road users to know the status of their vehicles by going through series of tests.

Managing Director of Lagos State Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service (LACVIS), Segun Obayendo, noted that “We were unpopular when we started official operation in March 2017.”

“We encountered quite a lot of cynicism and skepticism as people had issues copping with the change in the price for inspection or wondered whether their vehicle will fail or pass.

“Inspections save lives of the drivers and other road users from accidents occasioned by mechanical failure and LACVIS computerized inspection process helps to detect mechanical faults before they become disaster on the highways.

“Our computerized inspection program ensures that vehicle owners are pro-actively contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment with an emission test. Vehicle emissions continue to be a major source of urban air pollution.

“However, the test checks the emission level of exhaust gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and others from a vehicle. If everyone chooses to be compliant, what we will have is improved air quality and other health and economic benefit.”
In his remarks, General Manager, LACVIS, Segun Ogunnaike, said “in the next three years, there will be at least 57 computerized inspection centers across the state.

“The idea is that before any vehicle is issued the road worthiness certificate, such vehicle will have to undergo inspection.”

Did oloro adediwura confirm the crash of her marriage with this.

For a while now, there's been news that the 17-month old mariage of the Ooni of Ife and Olori Wuraola has crashed but so far there's been no solid statement to confirm or deny it.

Reports even have it that the Olori has moved out of the palace and relocated to Lagos to continue with her life.
Today, she made a two in one post on social media that pundits say is a confirmation of marriage crash and a tasteful subliminal at the Ooni of Ife all at once.

According to Olori Wuraola who held a charity concert at Eko Hotel back in February 2017 she writes in her post.

" To be clear, all remaining funds are in the custody of the patron of The House of Oduduwa foundation, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. The House of Oduduwa is SOLELY responsible for the disbursement of the funds yet to be disbursed. Beneficiaries should please contact the office of the Palace ".

With this, she absolves and indemnifies herself and transfers all the responsibilities to the Ooni which she wouldn’t have done if she was still in the Palace and in good terms.
Meanwhile a new photo of another Olori is begining to circulate on social media but we are still investigating its authenticity.

HOW WE PLOTTED JONATHAN FALL IN SOKOTO - AMAECHI

We plotted Jonathan’s fall in Sokoto –Amaechi
sunnewsonline.com

• Minister reveals role Tambuwal, Wamakko played

The plots that cost Dr. Goodluck Jonathan the 2015 presidential election were mainly planned, hatched and perfected in Sokoto, the seat of the Caliphate.

This revelation was made by Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, when he paid a courtesy visit on Governor Aminu Tambuwal, at the Government House.
He said Nigeria would have been worse off economically if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had won the presidential election.

The former governor of Rivers who was in Sokoto to present a keynote address at the 15th National Council on Transportation said: “I have been to Sokoto severally, especially in 2015 during our struggle to change Nigeria. Sokoto played a very critical role in that struggle. The then governor, Aliyu Wamakko and then Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, worked together and closely with us to ensure we achieved our objective.

“The two of them moved with us to the APC; they were equally part of the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I recall my conversations with Tambuwal when we moved to APC. I had told him that we had moved and he asked whether I was the only one. I told him that I moved with the governors, but he inquired if his governor, Wamakko, equally moved with us. I told him we will issue a statement concerning his governor. As God will have it, the governor himself issued a statement declaring that he was solidly in support of the movement to the APC.

“This meeting today reminds me of all that struggle and our meetings in Sokoto, especially with Wamakko and Tambuwal to strategise for the 2015 presidential election. I must thank him and other Nigerians for that support because the desired change would not have come if they did not come together to support and work for the APC to ensure the emergence of President Buhari.

“The truth of the matter is that as Nigerians, we knew it would have been difficult for Nigeria if PDP had won that presidential election. All of us were scared of what would happen to Nigeria and that was why we decided that the only way to stop what will happen is to ensure that PDP did not win and to God’s glory and our prayers, APC won.

“When I said things would have been difficult, I was talking about the economy. As at that time, if you remember, fuel queues had returned, poverty was coming back, the money stolen was too much that there was no money in the hands of Nigerians, and there was need and desire for a change, and effective change that will safe resources for Nigerians.”
He commended the state government for hosting the 15th National Council on Transportation, saying, the conference will provide avenue to participants to brainstorm on issues and proffer solutions.

He also commended the Sokoto government for completing Sultan Abubakar International Airport and assured that the ministry would complement Tambuwal’s efforts to enhance economic activities in the state noting that transportation served as bedrock of facilitation economy.
“We are in Sokoto to discuss transport policy, the modality in transportation and how to take transportation to the next level. I know that what will interest you is what will happen to your state in terms of railway. The railway line connecting Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto is in the pipeline.
“Once we conclude the technical aspect, we will take it to the president for approval. Once we conclude works on these states, the 36 states mandate, which the president gave us, would have been concluded. I was pleased to see that the airport has been completed.
“There are only three of us that were Speakers that governed a state. It is you (Tambuwal), the governor of Plateau State and myself. We must ensure that we did not disappoint the people. The reason is that the experience we gathered in the legislature is enough to govern a state. I am sure that you are going the way they expect you to go and I wish you the very best,” he said.
Tambuwal, who expressed his government’s commitment to cooperate with Federal Government to ensure success of projects and programmes geared toward uplifting people lives to better, urged transport ministry to install more scanners at the Sultan Abubakar International Airport Sokoto to ensure increase safety and screenings.

Zenith Bank on the other hand, submitted all the documents requested by the board but refused to pay after the audit exercise within the 7 days provided by Law.
Some Customers who spoke to Newsmen during the exercise expressed satisfaction with the closure of default banks, lamenting how banks deduct their monies at will in the name of Withholding Tax, Vat, Commission and so on without remitting to appropriate authorities.
